Your Perfect Facial

Choosing the right facialist can be challenging. I can help. I'm a licensed esthetician with ample experience on both coasts. Here are my insider tips to finding and enjoying your perfect facial.

Start by asking what sort of facial you want.

A clinical results-oriented facial is just that - clinical and results oriented. A spa-type facial (estheticians call these ‘fluffy facials’) can be heavenly when you want to feel pampered. Skin Santa Monica offers results oriented treatments that are also fashioned to feel luxurious. Yet if you want your session to skew more towards pampering (or a serious 'tough love' facial) - no problem. Because Skin Santa Monica facials are priced by time and not by any specific procedures, we're free to explore different treatments, products, and experiences during each session. I call it cross-conditioning for the skin and just like cross-training exercise, it gets you better results, faster.

Pick your vibe.

Is ultra-luxe sophistication what you're after? A medical office treatment? Or is the organic scene more you? The vibe at Skin Santa Monica is hip, casual and evolved. We're housed within the secret folds of a cool city-chic 1930's building, two blocks from the 3rd Street Promenade. The exterior is a bit tired, but inside is a touch of magic with old school brick, wood, greenery and glass. Urban Couture is how I describe my secret oasis in the middle of downtown Santa Monica.

Own your experience.

Once you're on the facial bed if you want to talk, talk. If you want quiet, ask. If you don't like the music, request a change. This is your time and your experience. Own it. At Skin Santa Monica every facial is an act of mutual creation and the studio is designed to be a safe space where you don’t have to be anyone but yourself.

Silence the product pushers.

At Skin Santa Monica I will help you design your ultimate skincare regimen whether it involves products I carry or not.

Find someone who loves what they do.

Skincare is an art and a science. To be a great esthetician takes passion and craft.  You have to love expressing your art so much that you’re brought back to it again and again. But you’ve also got to be dedicated to mastering the continuously evolving knowledge base of the discipline. When I’m not in the office I'm often researching new treatments, products, and experiences. Then I research the research. Why? Because, to me, skincare isn’t a job. It’s a passion.

 Make it a partnership.

You’re in your skin for life. Your esthetician should be there for you for more than just the appointment. When you have a question or concern, I’ll be there for you. All you have to do is reach out. We're on this journey together. Let's make it a beautiful trip.

Welcome to SKIN Santa Monica.
